Real estate agents in the state of Virginia are required to have completed 60 hours of required real estate education. Applicants Who Are Attorneys

After the Test: The Application Process

Once applicants receive word they  have passed the exam, they have one year to apply for a Vermont salesperson real estate license with the Vermont Real Estate Commission. They will have to attach a letter from the broker with whom they wish to be associated, requesting that the license be issued to that brokerage. If they have not worked for a brokerage within a year of passing the exam, applicants are required to complete the continuing education requirement for a salesperson.  If they have not worked for a broker in  five years, they must retake the licensing examination.

Continuing Education Requirements

Vermont real estate salespersons licenses must be renewed every two years, and in order to do so, they must also have completed 16 hours of continuing education classes. In addition, one of the remaining elective classes must be the National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics course.  Individuals are free to choose the rest either in the classroom or online, as long as they are approved by the VREC.

The Pre-Qualifications

You must not have had any kind of felony conviction for the last five years and no misdemeanor involving misrepresentation, theft or dishonesty for at least the previous three years. The crime timelines involve the gap between the present and time of conviction or the end of incarceration, if there was any.

More basic character qualifications, as specified in the Utah Code, are “honesty, integrity, truthfulness, reputation and competency.”

Education Requirements

Real estate license applicants in Utah must have 120 hours of education under their belts. There are several certified Real Estate Pre-license schools in the state that offer qualifying programs. That means that if you have a current real estate license from one of those places, you can fill out and submit Utah’s Real Estate Reciprocity Application. If you win approval, your current license from those locations can be transferred and you won’t have to take the 120 hours of education.
  • If you don’t have an active real estate license from one of those two states and the Canadian province, but you have one from another U.S. state, fill out and submit this waiver application from Utah’s Department of Commerce, Division of Real Estate.

Testing Requirements

Once you’ve successfully completed your real estate pre-licensing coursework, your next step is to pass two tests:

Real estate pre-license final exam — This is the final test offered by your school. A minimum grade of 70 percent is required to pass the exam. South Carolina’s Real Estate Licensing Commission Governs all Real Estate Salespeople

The SC Real Estate Commission is the governing body that regulates real estate brokers as well as salespeople in the state. The Commission is the main resource for real estate license examination information and materials, all of the continuing education requirements needed and required for agents, as well as opportunities, license applications, renewals, and more for those pursuing a career in real estate in South Carolina. The SC Real Estate Commission will also issue a real estate license to each candidate that has successfully completed the necessary coursework and passed the required exams.

Real Estate Licensing Requirements in the State of South Carolina

The required minimum age to become a licensed Realtor in the state of South Carolina is 18. In addition, the candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be legally eligible to work in the U.S. in order to be able to sit for the state exam for licensing.

After successful completion of the state examination, the 30-hour Unit II: Advanced Real Estate Principles course must also be passed. Candidates can then submit their passing score sheets and proof of completion of the required courses with the licensure application for state approval.
